Item upgrading allows players to upgrade their weapons and gear with new affixes, boosting its stats base or giving additional benefits. To upgrade items, players must have the item upgrader in their inventory and have access to the kiln.
Usually items that have weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a stronger base while items with strong bases such as eth titans do not vary in their stats following being upgraded.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, weapons and gathering tools. They can be used as an attribute benefit, or an additional benefit, while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, or found in loot from enemies, or obtained from missions and chests. Certain upgrades come with additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require that the equipment be at a specific level to upgrade.
