Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrader mod level upgrade (go here) by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade item gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment.
